It was the company’s first brand. Both company and brad, were created in 1988. Since then, the design of the brand has evolved according to the trends of the moment without neglecting the origin of the product.
Sebastià Simó was the founder of the brand in 1980. From the beginning he was exclusively dedicated to the manufacture of black pork sobrassada, recovering the native breed that at that time was endangered. In 2011 it was acquired by Embotits Sa Caldera SL with the prospect of expanding the offer and in the spirit of maintaining and improving the original line of Can Tià.
In 1959 Joan Sureda founded Can Balaguer brand in its facilities located in Artá, in the west of Mallorca. In 2011 Embotits Sa Caldera SL, had the opportunity to add this brand to his family. Since then, it has been one of the company’s brands.
